India has launched a herbal brand called Ashwagadha, which it hopes will help it gain a foothold in the global marketplace.

The brand was launched by the Indian government’s ministry of food, consumer affairs and rural development (MFA) on Thursday.

The ministry had earlier said it would launch Ashwadha products by July, but it has said it will wait for further orders from domestic and international distributors.

The company aims to sell its herbal products at retail outlets across the country.

Its first product is a green tea infused with herbs, and it also plans to launch other herbal products, said Amit Jain, a spokesperson for the ministry.

It has set a target of selling 100 products in the first five months.
