In the 1970s, a handful of researchers discovered that the herb sage was actually a very good candidate for treating anxiety disorders.
This is because it contains compounds called the plant-derived alkaloids and is believed to be able to relax the nervous system.
Herbivores, by contrast, tend to be predisposed to stress, which can lead to a reduction in their ability to focus, focus and focus again.
It’s important to note that the effects of this herb are not only felt in people with anxiety disorders, but can be seen in animals as well.
For years, scientists have known that humans can become anxious and have difficulty concentrating and even lose focus.
A 2011 study published in PLOS ONE found that in humans with anxiety, people who took the herb strychnine experienced significantly more anxiety symptoms than those who did not.
In 2016, the National Institute of Mental Health published an article that looked at how herbs can be used to treat anxiety in humans and animals.
The authors concluded that herb extracts are a very promising way to treat some anxiety disorders and that it’s important for researchers to look at the mechanisms behind the effects that occur.
“The compounds found in sage are actually the same compounds that we have in our bodies,” Dr. Paul P. Raskin, a neuroscientist and clinical psychologist at the University of California, San Francisco, told ABC News.
“They work in very similar ways, so that’s why we can use them to help treat anxiety.”
While this research has been going on for decades, there have been some breakthroughs in recent years.
In 2013, the University at Buffalo in New York, US, published a study showing that compounds in the plant have been shown to reduce anxiety symptoms in mice.
In 2016, scientists found that a compound found in the herb called quercetin, found in berries, was able to improve the symptoms of anxiety disorders in people.
These compounds have been used for decades in traditional medicine, and have been found to have a variety of health benefits.
In one study published earlier this year, researchers from the University Health Network, the U.K.’s National Institute for Health Research, found that taking a single capsule of the herb quercitin, for instance, reduced symptoms of depression in people suffering from anxiety disorders like post-traumatic stress disorder.
“For us, it’s really about understanding how we can take a plant that has been proven to help people with various conditions, and use it to treat people with a variety different disorders,” said Dr. Michael E. Turek, an integrative medicine physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New Jersey, about the discovery of the plant’s medicinal properties.
“The key to that is understanding how these compounds work.”
The plant’s powerful medicinal properties are particularly interesting because it has been used as a supplement for years, but it hasn’t been well studied for anxiety disorders yet.
Dr. Turesk explained that the compounds found naturally in the plants were used as supplements in ancient times.
“It’s a very ancient plant, and we have a very broad understanding of what happens when you consume it,” he said.
“What we have is an array of studies that show that the plant extracts have very positive effects on people with different mental disorders.
For example, people with depression, people in other psychiatric disorders, those who have anxiety disorders.”
The study is still ongoing, but the researchers believe they have found a way to improve people’s symptoms of the anxiety disorders they are suffering from.
“There’s a lot of research out there, and there’s a lack of knowledge of what these compounds do,” Dr Turesak said.
He said that the next step is to continue to conduct studies to see how this research will impact on other conditions and how we could develop new treatments for these disorders.
“It would be great if we could take this knowledge, which is extremely promising, and apply it to people’s anxiety problems,” he added.
“We want to make sure that people with these disorders can be well treated, because it is so important for them to be well.”
If you have an anxiety disorder, there’s hope that you might be able use this research to help you get back on track.
